Book of Life

Book of Life by David Kracov is wonderful result of artistic brilliance and philanthropy. 'David Kracov was commissioned to create an award to be given in honor of, and named for, Rabbi Yossi Raichik, the beloved director of Chabad's Children of Chernobyl'. Inspired by the life of Rabbi Yossi Raichik; the sculpture is a book 'filled with words from those he touched, with those pages and thoughts transforming into butterflies, each representing the 2.547 children he helped and give new lives'. The 1986 nuclear disaster is known to be the worst nuclear power plant accident in history.

What I find most amazing is that these butterflies are composed of metal! He uses the same technique in a lot of his other work, including a commission by Coca Cola.
